Former Global Commercial Director at Big Drop Brewing Co., Nick is DrinksOne's Global drinks expert, commercially minded with an entrepreneurial spirit, and over 20 years expertise within the industry.
Nick has a unique skill set having worked globally across Beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic sectors, across brand management, marketing and commercial development. Nick has also managed and owned a drinks-focussed sales and marketing agency as well as on-trade venues.
Nick is currently supporting founders and senior leadership teams in start up through to scale up businesses to help accelerate their growth. His specialisms include: export and import solutions, brand creation and refresh, go-to market strategies, distribution growth solutions and recruitment.
James has over 25 years brand building in the Spirits industry. He established Inspirit Brands a brand distribution company in 1999, where he launched and built brands from a zero base including Ketel One, Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, and St Germain. After building Inspirit to a turnover of £9m+, James sold and moved into consultancy to manage and build European distribution for brands such as
Crystal Head Vodka.
Latterly, he used the wealth of experience and knowledge to become a brand owner in the form of Silent Pool Gin. As a co-founder, his involvement spanned concept, design, strategy and sales of Silent Pool Gin in the UK and overseas where he built a network of distribution in over 30 countries, seeding and growing the brand, while overseeing the UK success with retailers and independent On and Off trade outlets.
Mike’s most recent role saw him as CCO of the Ecommerce division of 31DOVER (which became SPIRIT.ED) won drinks retailer of the year two years running. Mike started by working his way through the hospitality industry from bartender upwards. The journey has included management positions for Luminar Leisure in various venues across the UK.
The move to brand management kicked off by joining the marketing team at J Wray & Nephew UK, which in turn lead to a move to Inspirit Brands who at the time distributed Ketel One, Buffalo Trade and Sagatiba.
From here Mike moved into wholesale joining Coe Vintners as Sales Director managing the sales & marketing teams, the company was sold to EnotriaWinecellars to create E&C, where Mike was Marketing Director and then Commercial Director – Spirits and Champagnes.
Mike returned to brand distribution, managing international markets for Drinksology Kirker Greer, before joining the management team of Spirit.ed, managing all aspects of the ecommerce, agency and wholesale business.
